Not all bands or artists will skip a chance to guest star on the hit musical TV series Glee but Kings of Leon is one of those rare bunch. The band's vocalist Caleb Followill told NME magazine this week that they'd declined a request from "Glee" producers to use their songs on the show.
It would have been awesome to hear "Use Somebody" on a glee episode. The epic song is one of the reasons why Kings of Leon became mainstream. Caleb's brother, Jared, revealed that the band also turned down an offer to appear on an episode of 'Ugly Betty. "They wanted us to play ourselves. We were supposed to come in and help her out with some problem or other."
Is it the fear of being labeled a "sell-out" why the band has refused to guest in such shows? Whatever it is I'm still a big fan of the band.
